Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee of B.R. Institute of Technology and Management Sciences (BRITMS) is formed as per the directives of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and in compliance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.

The committee ensures that the college campus remains ragging-free, providing a safe and respectful environment for all students.


Objectives

  • To prohibit, prevent, and eliminate all forms of ragging within and outside the campus.
  • To create awareness among students about the consequences of ragging.
  • To provide a mechanism for reporting and redressal of any ragging incident.
  • To maintain a friendly and cooperative relationship among senior and junior students.

Functions & Responsibilities

  1. To monitor and ensure strict compliance with anti-ragging regulations.
  2. To conduct regular orientation programs and awareness campaigns on anti-ragging.
  3. To maintain and publicize helpline numbers and reporting mechanisms.
  4. To take immediate disciplinary action in cases of ragging, as per UGC/AICTE norms.
  5. To coordinate with local police and district administration whenever required.
